About Me

For over thirty years, I have poured myself into shaping students, teachers, and school communities — from the gymnasium floor to the principal's office to the graduate classroom.

I am a Christian educator driven by a deep commitment to the holistic development of young people. Currently, I serve as Middle School Principal at Denver Christian School in Lakewood, Colorado, where I lead with a Reformed worldview lens… grounding my faculty and students in purposeful, faith-centered learning.

My journey began as a PE teacher and varsity baseball coach at Denver Christian School, where I quickly discovered my passion for investing in students beyond the classroom. That energy carried me to Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I served as an assistant baseball coach and physical education instructor before returning to Colorado to take on teaching and leadership roles.

In the principal's chair since 2013, I have collaboratively built a highly sought-after middle school program, developed full-circle evaluation systems for faculty, and mentored principals and heads of schools across the country. I completed my Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership for Educational Equity at the University of Colorado Denver in 2021. Today, I also serve as Assistant Adjunct of Graduate Education (Online) at Dordt University, where I bring decades of practical experience to the next generation of educators… something I find deeply fulfilling.
